Chomp Nashville
Project Overview
Chomp Nashville is a bold new food and restaurant discovery app designed to bring Nashville’s vibrant dining scene straight to the hands of locals and visitors. While the app is still in development, the completed branding establishes a playful, approachable, and memorable identity that reflects Nashville’s love for great food and energetic culture. Our design goal was to create a brand that feels fun, engaging, and instantly recognizable—an app that users will look forward to opening every time they’re hungry.
Design Strategy & Execution
Logo Design
At the heart of the branding is Chompy, the cheerful character mascot. With wide eyes, a huge grin, and a big bite, Chompy embodies the fun and social nature of food in Nashville. The mascot gives the brand personality and makes the app approachable for both locals and visitors, young and old. The typography alongside Chompy is rounded and modern, ensuring readability at both large and small sizes—perfect for app icons, splash screens, and marketing. Together, the character and type create a visual system that is lively, inviting, and instantly memorable.
Color Palette
The palette centers around a vibrant golden yellow, symbolizing warmth, happiness, and appetite. Complementary tones in rich browns and reds balance the vibrancy with depth, making the brand both exciting and trustworthy.

Clean, rounded sans-serif fonts were chosen to emphasize approachability and friendliness. The typography pairs seamlessly with Chompy’s bold personality, ensuring the brand feels cohesive across digital and print applications.
